On the 19th of August, I went to Dobratsch Nature Park for hiking. The hiking route can be found in the Komoot app.
Transportation
This time I went to Dobratsch by taking the bus 5164 at Steirerhof station to the Villacher Alpe Roßratte. The bus ticket cost 7€ back and forth. It is free by showing the Kärnten Card.
Preparation
Before going to Dobratsch I made some preparations:
Food: I brought some bananas and cookies, but during the hiking, I realized it is better to bring some protein bars or more fruits instead of cookies. I also brought two bottles of water which really helpful. There are two cafes there. Once at the starting point, the other one is on the top of Dobratsch.
Cloth: It is better to wear thin and comfy cloth because I sweat a lot during hiking. Besides that, it is much better to wear short pants. As for the shoes I use hiking shoes which really helpful during the hiking because the hiking trail is full of gravel.
If you go there by bus it is better to go there earlier (take the 9.38 am bus from Steirerhof) because we can spend more time exploring and enjoying the view from the top of Dobratsch.
