This food was one of my favorites when I was still a university student. It is a combination of instant noodles and rice with some veggies.

Recipe:

  1. Rice – 1 plate of room temperature basmati rice.
  2. Instant noodles – 1 pack, cook it then let it dry.
  3. Egg – 1.

Vegetables:

  1. Carrot – cut it into stick size
  2. Bell pepper – cut into small size

Spices:

  1. Salt
  2. Black pepper
  3. Sweet soy sauce
  4. Soy sauce
  5. Ajvar – to give some spicy taste and red coloring
  6. Ketchup
  7. Onion – cut into small size
  8. Garlic – chop into small size

Steps:

  1. Saute onion for about one minute until it becomes a bit brown
  2. Add garlic and saute for about one minute.
  3. Add rice and noodles, and lower the heat so the rice will not get burned.
  4. Add vegetables and mix all of them.
  5. Add the spices; two pinches of salt, black pepper
  6. Add 1 spoon of ajvar and a little bit of ketchup then mix all of them.
  7. Add 1 spoon of sweet soy sauce and 1 spoon of soy sauce.
  8. Stir all of them until they are mixed together.
  9. Ready to be served.
